Colour Trends for Jewellery: Spring 2008

Get set to heat things up! The jewellery colour trends for spring 2008 are going to be HOT, HOT, HOT!!

With the changing seasons we look to the coming colour palates to see what is new and exciting for jewellery trends. Well there is good news and then there is great news. The good news for jewellery lovers is the expected lovely warm colours incorporated in jewellery designs, and the great news is there is celebration of our beloved favorite jewellery tones as well.

There is much to celebrate with the upcoming autumn and winter season in jewellery trends with an explosion of colours for the cold weather wardrobe to lift the spirits, so it will be a hot season for lovers of jewellery, like myself.

The most surprising colour trend for the winter and spring 2008 season is yellow - generally the colour we connect to bring sunny times - but as a way to challenge the closed in winter days yellow is coming to brighten up our daily lives. Refreshing gemstones like citrine, yellow topaz, amber, aventurine and simulated canary diamond jewellery, topaz glass beads and the cubic zirconia substitutes will keep you on top of seasonal jewellery trends!

A great counter point colour for yellow is the ever popular shades of purple that will be highlighted this spring 2008, including jewellery designs with complimenting tones of pink. So pink diamonds, amethyst, pink topaz, rose quartz, fluorite and rhodonite (one of my favorites!) gemstones as well as pink pearl jewellery will all be bringing love and balance into our fashion jewellery wardrobes.

Choosing jewellery gifts to celebrate occasions

Giving the gift of jewellery can be a great way of giving a long-lasting gift that the recipient can both use and treasure for years to come. There are all kinds of options when it comes to jewellery gifts for people of all ages and for both men and women. Gifts here don`t have to break the bank -- even a small and inexpensive piece of jewellery can give a lot of pleasure to the person who receives it.

Popular types of jewellery gifts

You have a lot of choice when it comes to giving jewellery as a gift. You can, for example, push the boat out and have a specially commissioned piece made or buy designer jewellery. You might also like to think about what kind of jewellery to choose. For example, some people like to wear gold jewellery, some prefer it to be made from silver, some people like plain jewellery and others like precious stones.

If you are buying jewellery for women then you can choose from necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings. Charm bracelets (or the charms that go on them) are nice gifts as they are an instant memento. There is almost as much choice when it comes to buying gifts for men in this sector nowadays. For
example, you could buy signet rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and studs.

Choosing jewellery gifts to match occasions

If you are buying a piece of jewellery for a special birthday or anniversary then you can make the gift extra special by buying something relevant. For
example, you could buy an 18th birthday necklace or a ring with an anniversary stone in to mark a particular wedding anniversary. Most major birthdays and anniversaries will have something assigned to them such as a precious stone so trying to tie this into your gift is a nice touch that matches and marks the special day.

Conclusion

Do make sure that the jewellery that you buy comes with a guarantee -- especially if it is a significant purchase. It is also useful for the recipient to have cleaning and care instructions and materials. Finally, remember that a piece of jewellery (no matter how small) presented in a nice gift box will have a much greater effect whether you`ve gone out to buy 1st wedding gifts or to buy 30th Wedding Gifts.

Trendy Men’s Bracelets by Jason Tye

The topic on jewellery is mainly focused on women because it is said that women appreciates jewellery more than men do. Women tend to buy more jewellery, receive them as gifts, and wear them pompously; that it seemed that jewellery manufacturing was entirely dedicated to them. But in the recent tide of fashion, men have been seen sporting jewellery as part of their whole ensemble. And indeed, it has been pleasing to eyes of many women on how men’s jewellery actually made their counterparts even more appealing to them. A 2004 survey shows that a good majority of women thought men should wear more jewellery, aside from watches and wedding rings, because it added to men’s attractiveness and sexiness.

Men who wear jewellery indicate that they are people who care a lot about showing their personality and indicate that they care about how they look. Men’s jewellery also signifies confidence and success that are extremely appealing to women. Men often buy jewellery based on how good one piece looks when he tries it for the first time, which can be an ultimate decisive factor. However, if one is planning to get one through a website like Homme Rock, this might not be applicable because you choose one based what you see is displayed on the website. But rest assured if it does not match your initial preference, most websites offer a replacement guarantee.

We all know that men’s jewellery definitely have the bling factor to it since these pieces tend to be chunkier than most lady jewellery. And because of its size, one tip in accessorizing is to never overdo something so even if you have an extensive collection of jewellery at home, a good advice is to wear it sparingly.

Silver and gold remain to be popular materials for men’s jewellery, however, more up and coming materials such a platinum, tungsten and titanium have come to take men’s jewellery by storm. Even stainless steel has begun to make its mark.

Men’s jewellery comes in different types such as earrings, cuffs, necklaces, watches, rings, bangles, etc. There is a wide selection of this at homme rock, and the trendiest among its collection is men’s bracelets.

Years ago, men’s bracelets were unheard of but due to the change of times, it has become one of the more fashionable accessories that men could own. The materials used for men’s bracelets are very versatile ones and range from gold, silver, stainless steel, platinum, titanium, tungsten, rubber and even leather. This allows the designers to play with materials and create masterpiece men’s bracelets that will truly exemplify any type of personality that a guy can have.

Now that jewellery for men has made its way to the society, there is a good market for it because more and more men have come to notice that wearing jewellery indeed ups their confidence level and can be considered as status symbols. Apart from that, it does really make them look good. What type of man does not like to look good in this day and age anyway?Article Source:http://www.isnare.com
